Great Britain was in the middle of France and the US, they were neither aggressive or laid back about the charges to Germany. They wanted Germany to pay for what they did in reparations but also wanted them to remain a trading partner. What Britain wanted most was Germany's overseas colonies so that they could expand their overseas empire.
